the Personal, the Photography

pooh bear & yogi

A year ago Sunday we lost our beautiful German Shepherd, Bear. He was always Pooh Bear to me, and I had him nearly the entire time I’d lived in Australia. I’ve had many many dogs in my life, and I have to say he was the best I’d ever had! Even people who didn’t like dogs loved him! To celebrate his having added so much to my life I wanted to blog a few images of him, and add some of the beautiful Shepherd we now have, Yogi! In his own way he is just as special… and we would have been lost without him when we lost Bear! To them both, our YogiBear!

My favourite photo of my gorgeous boy! He was always smiling and still makes me smile!

He HATED the ocean at first, and then fell in love with it. He would cry when he smelled the saltwater!

He would go to the ends of the earth for his toys, and NEVER left them behind! ;)

There is sure to be more posts of both of them. Most of Bear’s photos haven’t been brought into the system as most of his life was spent with me having the film cameras and I have to scan his puppy photos. We’re pondering an addition to the family so that Yogi has a buddy to play with again…

So, watch this space in case it gets a little furrier in the near future! ;)

Thanks for letting me share in remembering my beautiful boy, be sure I’m sitting here with a smile from ear to ear even if I miss him!

If you own a fluffy buddy, enjoy! If you don’t, I can’t recommend one enough!

What can I say my beautiful friend, Bear was 1 in a million. If not for him (and you) we would not have the gorgeous Baron. I know what he was (and always will be) to you. Just as it was in the HIghlander “There can be only one”. Miss you so much. Tex/Mex just doesn’t taste the same without you! xxxxxxx J
