“the streams of sunlight pierce their way to the bottom of the water, highlighting the depths to which she has been buried… she feels the intense need to exhale but it is too early! She swings her head from side to side, from bottom to top, desperately trying to find her escape from the depths. She was warned this might happen, she has been pulled in so many directions and has gone so deep that she has lost the surface… or has she… there they are…
…the streams of light…. the soft rays touch her skin through the darkness and they gently guide her towards the surface. She moves in their direction, lungs burning, searching for air, searching for the surface where she can find relief! With one swift motion she catapults herself out of the depths, breaks the surface and with great joy exhales to fill her lungs with fresh air and finds herself totally renewed! She is back… and she is ready to blog!”
Ok, so that was a rather dramatic entry to what I hope you will find to be a cool blog. It’s a bit of a creative way of saying I’ve been flat out, pulled in what seems like a million directions, and I’m just now finding it easier to breathe! It is a crazy time of the season, and it is at once challenging and exciting! So, on to the posting… ;)
This past weekend I had the most fun photographing the gorgeous Sarah and Nick, and their most beautiful baby boy, Cooper. Nick has the coolest collection of guitars and shares with me a love of ’57 Chevys, you legend! ;) He had found this fantastic Chevy for him and the guys to go to the ceremony in and had this notion of some groovy photos taken with one of his guitars and the Chev. He certainly had my attention! ;) I hope he had as much fun posing in the rock star mode as I had mixing it up for the shoot, I just love weddings that have unique elements to them!
Sarah was stunning and was one of the most relaxed brides I’ve worked with. Her entrance was filled with grace and charm, and you could tell that Nick was struggling to hold it together, he was awestruck and it was beautiful to witness!
So, I post more than normal as a celebration of finding time to breathe again, and as a thank you to Sarah and Nick for such a fun shoot!
I would like to take a moment to thank someone for making our evening go sooooo smoothly, the beautiful lady, Rebecca who is the proud owner of the beautiful ’57 Chevy! I cannot thank you enough for your patience, willingness to shuffle plans, and to be available so that we could extend our photo session. You are one in a million, just like your car! ;) I can’t wait to catch up and chat car stuff again! ;)
Have a great honeymoon guys and I can’t wait to catch up when you get home. Take care of that little one, it’s not hard to decipher that his constant smiles emanate from having you two as his parents!
ps. for those wondering where martaay’s shots are, I hogged the blog this week! He was amazing as per usual!!! Thanks bub!
