Sophie + Grant | Millbrook Winery Wedding | Jarrahdale and Perth

.....

the wedding…

As I sit and think about how I would like to describe this wedding it occurs to me that one of the reasons I love it so much is the way the love and adoration that Sophie and Grant have for each other is communicated with so few words. Stand near them and watch for a moment and you will see so many little ways that their loves shines through; the way he looks at her as her father escorts her down the aisle, the soft touch between them, a casual glance that sends them both into laughter and a softness when they embrace that melts the heart. There is a calmness and sense that all is right with the world when they are together and truly I hope that this comes through in the photos.

As I photographed them I was mesmerised by the awesome light Mother Nature suppled for their wedding day but as I proofed the images I noticed an even more amazing light that shines through their love. Millbrook as the wedding venue was perfect as always and Sophie’s choices in details accented beautifully without detracting from the celebration itself, a simple and understated ceremony steeped with thought and purpose. Sophie and Grant put together an amazing team and having Jay Walsh as their celebrant was the perfect choice. As always he was a joy to work with.

I have so much I would love to say about this wedding but I will adopt a less is more approach and let the images speak for themselves… I hope you enjoy!

Hannah & Brian | Caversham House & Nedlands Yacht Club | Perth Wedding Photography

.....

the wedding…

One of the coolest things that happens for us as wedding photographers is when we receive an enquiry from couples that were in the bridal party of weddings that we shot. We met Hannah and Brian just under two years ago at Jonathan and Danielle’s wonderful wedding at Joondalup Resort, one of the funnest we’ve shot. When they decided to book us we were so excited, not only to catch up with some of our wedding family but because these guys are two of the most kind-hearted and easy-going couples we’ve ever had the privilege to work with.

It is no coincidence that both their engagement shoot and wedding are some of my favourite work. The couple are a dream to photograph losing themselves in the moments and allowing us to simply capture on the digital medium how wonderfully connected they are. Hannah has such a sense of classical style and she oozes a timeless beauty that the camera just loves. Add to that the calming nature the bridal party added to the day with their laughter and joyful celebrations and how could be anything but amazing?

I simply adore this wedding and the collection of images we produced from it. I could go on and on about how much I appreciate this couple and their faith and support but I much prefer to let the photos speak for themselves… I hope you enjoy!

Hannah & Brian | Perth Wedding Photography | Engagement Sneak Peek

engaged…

Ice cream, sunshine, amazing light and a gentle breeze blowing through the long grass…

Summer is on it’s way and there is no better way to feel that than to photograph one of our gorgeous wedding couples! Hannah & Brian wanted an engagement shoot which we will turn into a Guest Signing Book for them to use at their wedding reception. We waited for the rains to leave Perth for our shoot and happened to pick an amazing day. The Rockingham foreshore was chosen as it’s an important area for both of them and even with the hoards of people that turned out to bask in the sun it was a perfect choice.

It’s been quiet on the m&m front but I do love having some time off from photography so the creative juices can be re-booted and areas that you know well you manage to see in a completely different light than before. As wedding season gets underway I’m reminded of how very much I love this job and our clients. We are in awe of the trust you put in us and letting us capture your relationship and celebrations with our own creative flair.

Thanks to you both for being such fun, we can’t wait for the wedding!
